The Hunger Games
Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she is ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

| This was one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen. It made no sense at all,had no point it followed and was about two hours to long. Example... if you are in a "game" where the last person alive wins, why would you form an alliance with four other "players" and let them wake up after falling alseep. Really do NOT waste your time and money. Wait 'till it is on the boob tube and you will change the channel before the first commerical...I promise. | |

| I don't know where the reviews are coming from.. I think that all the bad reviews are seriously coming from people who didn't read the book so they are completely lost.. go read some books people! The movie is amazing! :) goes exactly to the book except for a very small detail or two. | |

| A lot of great advertisement has resulted in the success of this movie. If it had to stand on it's own merit without the teenage hype it would be mediocre at best. Oh, by the way, it's not a kids movie. Kids killing kids has no moral justification let alone making it a hero type movie. Just plain bad moral examples to our kids and teenagers. Even at the end, what was gained 20 dead kids, now that what America is all about. | |
